The requirements for Botswana Force Recruitment are as follows:
- Citizenship: Applicants must be Botswana citizens, both males and females, in possession of valid National ID cards (Omang)
- Age: Candidates should be aged between 18 and 24 years. In exceptional cases, age requirements may be waived for individuals already holding a profession like Medical Doctors
- Education: Potential candidates should possess a Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or equivalent with a minimum of 24 points. Any other qualifications up to a maximum of a Diploma or its equivalent are considered advantageous
- Physical and Mental Fitness: Candidates must be physically and mentally fit by the BDF Recruitment Medical Standards. This includes meeting specific height and weight requirements: minimum height of 165 cm for males and 160 cm for females, minimum body weight of 55 kg for males and 45 kg for females
